Steffan Griffiths
After getting four (winning) Oxford Blues from 1992 to 1995, Steffan played for East Grinstead in the National League from 1995 until 1999 whilst teaching Classics at Tonbridge School. A move to teach at Eton College and marriage brought an abrupt end to any hockey aspirations, and the addition of two children, Daniel and Amy, have subsequently guaranteed retirement's permanence. The lure of Oxford continues, however: Steffan started as deputy headmaster at Magdalen College School, Oxford, in September 2006.
